Zalman CNPS 9500 Preview![]() Zalman CNPS 9500 PreviewAuthor: Bob Hunt Zalman has announced the release of the Zalman CNPS 9500 LED CPU Cooler. Zalman claims that the CNPS 9500 will outperform all other air-cooled CPU coolers as well as water-cooling systems while operating almost silently at the same time! The primary design feature of the Zalman CNPS 9500 is the patented "figure 8" shape of the heatpipes. The figure 8 shape produces the effect of up to 6 normal heatpipes with only 3! The ultra slim heatsink fans, that are located inside the ring of fins, are aerodynamically designed and are placed to optimize performance. Both of these factores produce the effect of minizing airflow resistance and reducing the weight of the CNPS 9500 while maximizing cooling efficiency and performance. Zalman plans to design and introduce a variety of Zalman CNPS 9500 coolers each with unique designs, specifications, and performance. Zalman CNPS 9500 Features

Zalman CNPS 9500 Performance Final Thoughts on the Zalman CNPS 9500 Zalman was showing off their prototype of the Zalman CNPS 9500 at this year's Computex Show in Taipei. Zalman didn't give out much information about this new, seemingly impressive, new cooler, but they did share a few tidbits. The CNPS 9500 weighs in at a little over a pound (498g), which makes it over 250g lighter than Zalman's other all copper cooler, the Zalman 7700. Zalman is claiming that the CNPS 9500 is its best CPU cooler ever, and they provided graphs to demonstrate the fact. They are even claiming that the cooler will offer better performance than some water cooling systems. We will put this cooler up to the test to see if it can live up to the claims when it is released to the public this September. Be sure to check back to HardwareMods for a review of the Zalman CNPS 9500 CPU Cooler as soon as it is released. |
