Don't you dare grab those cheapo generic brand of sodas over this bottle. Those generics don't solve any problems, except washing down that equally cheap pizza. Grab that cool-blue bottle of liquid for thirst. Yes, BAWLS has a taste unlike those sodas. Highly caffeinated and without the bitterness that is associated with these energy drinks. It's not everyday that someone can get around the "You can't say this to your significant-other" thing. Can I please purchase some bawls?, I must have BAWLS (best said in a "angry" voice), I love them BAWLS!, Can we share your BAWLS?. ...And Getting out of the gutter now, lets continue with the review. Packaging and First Thoughts Both BAWLS bottles were individually wrapped in my favorite thing... Bubble Wrap! Now aside from the obvious enjoyment of popping all these bubbles, the bottles were all protected really well. I'm tempted have to say, they wasted a lot of bubble wrap for just two bottles. But hey, all the more bubble wrap for me to play with. The Bottles are deep-ocean-blue and dimpled (Outies). The cap is silver colored. You wont need any special tools to drink BAWLS either. Why? Because the bottle is a twist off beverage. However, I have to put the bottle under my shirt and twist... using the shirt to grip on the cap. If I don't twist it off using my shirt, I tend ruin my fingers and I can't get a good grasp on the cap from sweating. The Bottom of the bottle has gripping bumps. This would work really good on a rubber-surface... or old mouse pads ;-) The Cap design is the normal. However, the "W", and the website has been printed on each cap facing inwards. On the side of the cap are two arrows pointing which direction to twist the cap OFF... not on. There is no printing or anything on the inside of the cap. The color isn't pure dark-blue. The color is more Light-blue in the bottom half of the bottle (not including the base [The base is dark blue]). The color difference isn't noticeable until you hit the correct viewing angle. The difference isn't noticeable at all when there is still liquid inside the bottle. When pouring BAWLS, it will only look crystal clear. It's not until you pour a lot of the bawls into a clear cup, that you will notice the color is more of a "dirty crystal" color. There is indeed 10oz of liquid in a bawls bottle. When I poured the drink back in the bottle - the drink was flatten by 50%. But, it still retained enough fizzy goodness for drinking. When tasting BAWLS, I am reminded of pineapples, but more of a (different) fruitier taste. It's hard to describe, but it tastes good. ...And taste is a good thing to have on any drink's side when tasting for the first time. (10 Hours later) *Groan* I'm tired, but when I tried to sleep, I couldn't. It seems to work nicely. But I am one man, I will have to try this out on some other people to complete this guide. There you have it. All four guys enjoyed the taste of the Bawls. Now, as far as the effects of the caffeine: (I'm Very well aware this isnt a scientific study, but needless to say this is truth) No Bawls: GotCow? (me), Tom (only a small sip). We slept during the LAN Point 1. BAWLS is hard to find without buying online. Personally, I have to travel 1.5 hours to get to the nearest store location and it isn't granteed "Clems" will have it in stock. Point 2. Most energy drinks have bitter taste to them. I have a "2" tolerance for any bitter taste. This is why I dislike Red Bull, Monster,... and all of the other drinks I have tasted so far. Bawls has a little bit of bitterness - enough that I can tolerate it. Point 3. The Unique dimples are good looking, and have a function to them -- You are able to hold the bottle when it is wet. Point 4. The Design of the bottle is unique and blue. No other energy drinks match this. They all tend to revolve around the "Tall-thin", "Tall-Thick" can sizes. Not bottles. Head over to Xoxide.com and pick up some Bawls! 1. It does not have the normal Bitterness taste that most energy drinks have. 1. The cost could be a little cheaper. If price and volume was an issue, I would opt for Mountain Dew. 1. BAWLS is extremely hard to find in any store. For me at least, I would like it to be distributed more to stores around my town. |
