Logisys Dracula Case Review

Next we'll take a look at the side panels.  The window cutout/design for this case is definitely not your conventional square or round window.  The window itself is held in place by rivets which are screwed in from the interior.  The window has a unique shape with a "wing" or "arm" running up the middle.  The wing also goes across the other side panel.  The window also has an 80mm fan installed at the end of the wing.  The placement for this fan is almost perfect, because on any normal motherboard it will sit right over you video card and keep it nice and cool.

The final exterior part of the case is the rear.  The rear of the case's claim to fame is the gigantic 120mm fan throwing air out the back of the case.  Even though this fan moves a ridiculous amount of air, it is surprisingly and relatively quiet.  The 120mm fan is also included with the case.  Other than the fan, the rest of the back is pretty much standard, room for a power supply, the I/O plate, and 7 PCI slots for all of your add on cards.

Case Interior
The interior of the Dracula case is pretty standard.  It has a standard motherboard tray, which is not removable, the internal four 3.5" bays are not removable either.  The one thing that did stand out to me about the inside of this case was another 120mm fan mount right in front of the HDD bays.  Even though this is the only fan not included with the case, it is another perfect spot for a high airflow fan.  With the growing popularity of 7200rpm and now even 10,000rpm hard drives, there is a growing need for hard drive cooling, and a 120mm fan will do just that.

Conclusion
Overall I really like a lot of things about this case; from the alien head on the front door, to the unique style of the window.  I also like the face design on the bottom of the front panel, the included 80mm fan in the side panel, the included rear 120mm fan, and the front 120mm fan mount for all around good airflow.  There are some things that could have been done a little better though; removable motherboard trays are always a nice thing to have, along with removable drive bays.  The other little gripe that I have with this case is that I think it would be pretty cool if the "eyes" on the front panel were the power and IDE status lights, but the regular lights work well enough.  Overall this case gets an 8.0/10 on the HardwareMods product scale.
