The Func F-Series mousing surface incorporates a specially selected, low profile, textured synthetic rubber that exhibits exceptional traction characteristics on a desktop.

F-Series Competition Mousing sUrfaces are available in either of the two surface textures that were popularized by the award-winning, double-sided sUrface1030. These two textures are the 10.S (commonly referred to as smooth) and the 30.R (commonly referred to as rough). The F10.S mouse pad features the surface texture 10 (smooth): a fine textured surface geometry based on a specially selected low Ra parameter and is popular with those who prefer the feel of mousing on a smooth surface. The F30.R mouse pad features the surface texture 30 (rough): a medium textured surface geometry based on a specially selected moderate Ra parameter and is popular with those who prefer the feel of mousing on a textured surface.

Func F-Series F10.s Description:

Func Industries has been enhancing the gaming industry with their cutting edge gaming surfaces since 1999. Their latest innovation in mousing surfaces has brought us the F-series mousing surfaces. Both mouse pads are based on low Ra technology. What is Ra? Simply put, Ra is the means by which researchers measure the texture of a surface in regards to smoothness or roughness.

The Func F-Series F10.s features a texture Ra rating of 10, or smooth. Upon removing this item from the packaging, the 1st though in my head was, “Holy mouse pads Batman!” This thing is huge! They do make a slightly smaller 11”x14” for you gamers tucked into tight spaces with a child size desk. Func’s mousing surfaces are designed specifically for optical style mice. This is evident when you first use it. In the past I was using a standard store bought “mouse pad” and not a mousing surface. I instantly noticed a tracking difference when playing games that involve price fragging, a.k.a. Headshots! Just take into consideration when using the f10.s, the mouse sensitivity may need to be reduced a bit to compensate for the extremely slick surface. Overall, this mousing surface is as good as any on the market of the same style, but I wish the mouse cable holder would attach more securely to the pad itself.

Func F-Series F30.s Description:

Like above, this mousing surface is identical in everyway to the F10.s with the exception of the Ra30 rating on the surface. This means that the mousing surface is considerably rougher than the F10.s. I really enjoy the F30.s. The rougher surface seems to give me more control over my Logitech MX500 optical mouse. When you first look at both pads, you won’t notice a difference, but running your fingers across the surface and the difference is very noticeable. Again, I wish Func would develop a mouse cable clip that would be more secure.

Func F-Series Pros:

Func F-Series Cons:

• May be too large for some smaller computer desk
• F10.s smooth surface will be too smooth for some with high mouse sensitivity
• If bent, crease can form easily
• Mouse cable holder does not attach securely enough to mousing surface
